How I got into concrete work
I got into concrete doing side jobs for neighbors, mostly small pads, walks and steps, and learned the rest working next to people who'd been at it a lot longer than me. In 2023 I made it a full-time business in Columbus. Most of our concrete work now is driveways, patios and steps for homeowners, plus the concrete under a new garage, shop or addition.
The base is the part nobody sees on day one, so it's the first thing people want to cut when the budget gets tight. I won't cut it. Most cracked and sunken concrete starts with dirt that was raked level instead of dug out and packed, or water running toward the house because nobody checked where it goes. A nice finish doesn't save a bad base.
How we run a concrete job
Every job starts with me looking at it in person and ends with your yard picked up. In between, our crew works the plan we wrote down, with me on site.
A look at your job
I come out, look at the ground and where your water runs, and write the estimate myself. Before we start, we check with the right city office and help line up any permit the job needs.
Digging out and packing the base
Our crew digs out the soft dirt, packs the ground your slab will sit on and sets the slope so water runs away from your house. I'm on site with them while they work.
Joints, curing and clean-up
We cut control joints, grooves that tell the slab where to crack, then let it cure and gain strength before you drive on it. We clean up and walk the finished job with you.

We plan pours around the weather, because concrete poured in midday heat or the wrong conditions can end up with a weak, dusty top. When waiting is the better call, I'll tell you straight and move the date.
